A break from the ride

We went to get the Washington Grandkids and got stuck in lots of slow traffic and bad weather on the way home. (Friday afternoon - Memorial Day weekend - 220 in 7 hours.) So a rest break at Cabelas (Exit 111) seemed like a good thing. So a potty break and a visit to the wildlife (is it wildlife if they are stuffed ?) and a walk through the two big fish tanks.

Sunday Afternoons

For the last month or so we have been trying to do something on Sunday afternoon besides sleeping in front of the TV.

Recently we visited 6 of the local covered bridges.

Today we went to visit the old railroad bridge that has been converted to a pedestrian/bicycle bridge. It connects Salem to West Salem over the Willamette River.
